Good morning,

Below is some practical information which will hopefully support home learning for children with additional needs. As there are so many useful resources online it can seem overwhelming, especially if you have a child at home who is already struggling with the lack of routine and structure.

Rather than send you lots of links for additional ‘formal teaching’ (teachers will also be sending these via the school website). I thought it might be useful for you to have some sensory/practical/screen free activities to do at home. I have tried to think of as many as I can that you can do with everyday household objects as I know you may not have ‘school’ resources at home. I have also tried to think of things that can be done with siblings, especially those younger.

If yo like you can send me photos of your child doing some of these activities or completed work J. I will respond to as many as I can during school working hours and I will save in an e-folder.

If you need any other support such as other agencies you can contact for support please email me at

I currently looking into the support that is becoming available in this area.

I will be updating this on a regular basis.

Take care,

Mrs Atkinson.
