Modern Music Production through Sampling

Some of our Class 4 children have recently been discovering how music is actually put together by producers. We knew about musicians and instruments etc but how on earth does it actually go from being played to ending up on the radio and Spotify??

The children discovered what is known as a DAW (digital audio workstation) in the form of Yu Studio- a software that allows you to write, record, edit and mix pieces of audio in order to put a full song together.

To start the children off, they used a technique called sampling which is the art of arranging various sounds and loops to create a playable piece.
