I am delighted to be writing to you as the newly appointed Headteacher of Hapton Primary school. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen to lead such a happy, caring and successful school.
I have been a teacher for nineteen years and taught in three different primary schools in East Lancashire. During that time I have built strong relationships with children, staff, parents and governors and understand what is needed to take the school forward in this new era of education.
My vision for the school is to ensure that the needs of all our children are met in all areas of school life and that each child is given a wealth of experience and opportunities. This in turn, will guarantee they leave Hapton Primary at the end of Year 6, feeling confident, responsible and competent members of society, ready for their Secondary School journey.
I believe that school should be a happy, caring, spiritual, respectful and hardworking environment, in which all staff utilise their skills to enable the children in their care to recognise their true potential and talents. We can do this by showing our children at Hapton Primary School that we believe in them, respect them and are proud of them.
As a parent of three young boys, I understand the importance of parental voice in school. I understand that it is imperative that all staff are approachable and allocate time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts about the school – no matter how big or small they may be. I have an open door policy where I will always find time to talk to parents regarding any issues about their child. You can be assured that as Headteacher, I will strive to create the best education for your child/children whilst they are members of our school family.
I look forward to watching your children grow in confidence, knowledge and spirituality during their time at Hapton Primary.
I will be on the yard each morning so please feel free to come and speak to me at that time. Or if you would prefer, you can make an appointment by speaking to a member of our Office staff.
